iSoftStone Launches Its First Embodied Intelligent Humanoid Robot, Tianhe C1

Integrated software-hardware embodied intelligent humanoid robots represent a significant opportunity in the future intelligent industry. On January 16th, iSoftStone's Tianqing Robotics Company unveiled its first bipedal robot, Tianhe C1, in Wuxi. The robot is positioned for research, education, and interactive service scenarios.

 

Tianhe C1 is based on the company's self-developed Nebula embodied intelligent computing platform. It uses a modular technology architecture where software defines hardware, providing a rich library of atomic motion algorithms. The robot supports multiple large models and collaborates with ecosystem partners to create industry-specific application solutions for interactive services and research/education scenarios.

 

In terms of interactive services and educational applications, Tianhe C1 fully considers the fast integration needs of industry intelligent agents. Equipped with the self-developed Nebula embodied intelligent computing platform, it supports integrated joints, dexterous hands, voice and visual perception peripherals, and open standard API access. It provides an atomic motion algorithm platform and supports the rapid integration of cloud-based large models and edge-side models for intelligent agent applications. Tianhe C1 stands at 130 cm tall and weighs 32 kg. It has 29 degrees of freedom and is equipped with multimodal perception capabilities as well as end-to-end neural network algorithms, ensuring stable and reliable movement and human-robot interaction capabilities.

Tianhe C1 is equipped with iSoftStone's self-developed Tianxuan large model, which, leveraging advanced SLAM technology and motion control algorithms, can quickly build a map of its environment, intelligently plan the optimal route, and flexibly avoid obstacles. Based on the Tianxuan large model and reinforcement learning algorithms, Tianhe C1 has multimodal perception, autonomous learning, planning, decision-making, and emotional interaction capabilities. It can achieve accurate perception, spatial reasoning, and proactively engage in tasks in the physical world.

Compared to the commonly used X86+AI chip combination in humanoid robots, iSoftStone's self-developed Nebula embodied intelligent computing platform offers significant advantages. Its all-in-one architecture substantially reduces inter-board network congestion and communication non-real-time synchronization issues, enabling real-time and accurate transmission of computing results to the motion controller.

 

iSoftStone has innovatively designed a secondary system specifically responsible for the robot's safety, fault management, and energy domain, greatly enhancing the reliability of the robot's body. The Nebula embodied computing platform is deeply integrated with iSoftStone's self-developed ISSEOS and the Nebula Robot Intelligent Operating System. The Nebula Robot Intelligent Operating System has been specifically optimized for real-time task response and timely interaction with external peripherals, ensuring stable and reliable motion control capabilities of the robot. In terms of interaction control, the system is compatible with multiple control protocols, including RS485, FDCan, and Ethercat, supporting various controller use scenarios and long-term future evolutions. The Nebula Robot Intelligent Operating System supports over 1,000 software packages compatible with ROS2 and major simulation platforms such as Mujoco and Issac Gym. Users can directly complete simulation development and real-world deployment within one environment, enabling rapid product development.
